Vehicle electric conversion becomes more popular because of Auto Emissions and Rising of Gasoline Price. Electric vehicles (EVs) produce zero tailpipe emissions and up to 99% lower emissions than gasoline and diesel vehicles. EVs offer the best and cheapest alternative to petroleum-based transportation.

Vehicle electric conversion is not a very difficult job, with a step-by-step guide manual you can convert a gasoline car into an EV all by yourself. Let alone converting your own EV can be a rewarding and challenging experience.

Brief procedure of vehicle electric conversion:

Step 1: Planning your conversion. You should consider such things: Is an EV appropriate for your needs? Do you have easy access to charge your car? Do you have the facilities to build your conversion? Etc.

Step 2: Choosing a car for conversion. It's good if you already have one. But a heavy car is not a good choice.

Step 3: Budget for the conversion. Kits are the easiest way to build an EV. They include all the parts you need except for the batteries. Some good manuals can give you more suggestions to save your money.

Step 4: Components, tools and supplies. Components include batteries, advanced DC motor, adaptor plate, DC motor controller, potentiometer, charger interlock and other things. Most do-it yourselfers already have the tools required to convert an EV. Equipment such as engine hoists can be rented and welding can be contracted out.

Step 5: Learn safety knowledge. Be aware of possible hazards will prevent damage to the vehicle and serious injury to yourself.

Step 6: Start to work. Remove old gas stuff then Install motor then Install components then Installing battery box then Wiring.

Step 7: Testing your electric vehicle. Does it work? Congratulations!
